Real Madrid vs Lyon - Iker Casillas picspam

Real lost as if they asked for this. Sad but it's true. Unused situations almost always has bad consequences. And Real is out from Champions' League on 1/8 finals again.

Poor Casillas.

Haven't watched his matches for a while. He did fine I think, the lost goal was not his fault.

Still have Spain - France friendly highlights to watch. In June Spain is scheduled to play friendly with Poland. I dread to think what the result might be. Bad for Poland for sure.

Small Casillas picspam from the match:

After the lost goal. The picture is enough for the comment.

Queremos a Selecção com bigode na África do Sul

Didn't heard about this action until I read about it at zczuba.pl. The photos looks funny.

A group of fans wants the national team to grow mustache. As if it could help to improve the results at Mundial... ;)

They have a profile on facebook.

I reminds me a bet when Queiroz declared to not shave until Portugal win a match. He didn't have a chance to grow a long beard. Portugal won 2:0 with South Africa.

Portugal vs China friendly 3 Mar 2010 pictures picspam

Small Portugal - China picspam.

Enjoyed the match although there was too much wasted situation. They should score more goals, definietely! In the end it was only 2:0. Portugal needs to improve effectiveness before World Cup.

International friendly England vs. Egypt

Had a choice. Watch Poland - Bulgaria or England - Egypt. Chose the second one and I don't regret although Poland won 2:0 and Egypt lost 1:3.

Egypt played very good, didn't give ground the opponent and actually was leading the game till the end of the first half. Zidan scored a beautiful goal.

El Hadary was great in the first half. Was placed right in every situation. However, he wasn't able to stop Crouch and Wright-Phillips in the second half.

I like his calmness and self-confidence he shows on the pitch. Haven't seen too much matches with him but almost in every one he preforms stunning saves. Wonder how long his international career will last. He seems to be in a good shape so perhaps he will play till 39, just like Van der Saar?

Crouch celebrates after scored goal. El Hadary had no chance to stop the ball.

Official and unofficial pages

Quim's fansite

Beto site oficial

Like to visit those two pages from time to time. Pity that they lack English version. But at least it's a motivation to learn Portuguese ;)

Unfortunately Ricardo still doesn't have his own page. But what could be write there anyway? He haven't been playing in months. Well, Beto's situation doesn't look good as well. Played only once since he moved to FC Porto, Helton is the first choice.

So far I've seen Beto in only one match but he made very good impression on me. Pity that now he is sitting on the bench. Might lose a chance to compete for a place in the squad for World Cup 2010.

Daniel Fernandes in Iraklis Saloniki, Iraklis - Levadiakos 10 Feb 2010

Was wondering what is happening with Daniel Fernandes. In the first half of the season he played only one match. Now he is on the loan in Iraklis Saloniki. It's the former club of Wojciech Kowalewski who moved to FC Sibir Novosibirsk.

Before going to Bochum Daniel used to play for five seasons in PAOK Saloniki. Now he is going to stay in Greece till the end of the season.

In the highlights of Iraklis - Levadiakos match one could actually see Daniel. He makes save in 0:16 and conciedes a goal in 0:48.

Prefer the time when he played in Bundesliga. Could watch matches with him every month ;)

Hope he will play regularry in Iraklis and will be called up for World Cup 2010.

Serie A: Udinese - Inter 28 Feb 2010

Watched Udinese - Inter yesterday. Though that Julio Cesar might take a break but it seems he felt well enough to play. Happy about that because he made a lot of impressing saves. Will keep the recording of the match. Will be useful if I decided to make a video with him.

Remeber Udinese from the previous year. They played at UEFA Cup 1/16 with Polish team Lech Poznań. Back then they turned out to be better eventually, especially at the second leg match which they played at home.

Udinese qucikly take up the lead and at 2' it was already 1:0 for them! But only four minutes later Inter scored a goal and it was even. The final result was 2:3 but Udinese was close to score in the very last minut of the match.

Poor Julio Cesar had to face a penalty in the second half. Throw himself in the right direction but couldn't reach the ball. Di Natale shot was perfect.

Video of the goals:

Pepe 2′ (1-0)

Balotelli 5′ (1-1)

Maicon 21′ (1-2)

Milito 45′ (1-3)

Di Natale 52′ (penalty) (2-3)

Couldn't find the photo of Julio Cesar from this match so insead a photo of Jose Mourinho observing the match from the bleachers.
