World Cup: Brazil vs North Korea 2-1 15 June 2010

I expected more from this match. North Korea defied Brazil, and although they might lack the technique or the style, their strategy proved to be succesful. Unbelieveable that one has to wait to 55' minute till Brazil scored a goal!

I think that after what North Korea showed neither Ivory Coast, nor Portugal can be sure about a victory in upcoming matches. For sure it won't be a easy one.

The match was not interesting when it comes to scored goal but cerntainly was when it comes to saves. According to ESPN stats North Korean goalkeeper Ri Myong-Guk made 8 saves! It's an impressive result, the best at the tournament so far I think. When one plays against Brazil, one has to stay alert. He did well. On the opposite side of the pitch Julio Cesar didn't have too much to do. Only 1 save made.

Julio Cesar. Not his first World Cup but in 2006 he was a third-choice. Now his time as come and he is Brazil's no. 1.

Celebrating after Maicon's goal.

Fails to save Ji Yun-Nam's shot.

Ri Myong-Guk. Made 8 saves in the game. That's a lot!

Lucio's shot

I always feel pity for goalkeepers in such situations. The opponents are celebrating and all he can do is only to take out the ball of the net... Well, that's how this game works but still it's sad.

Elano scores.

Tomorrow Iker Casillas and Spain. Can't wait!
