Now it's staring to be interesting. So many surprises! Serbia wins with Germany. Stojković saves a penalty. Slovenia almost wins with USA. And goalless draw in England - Algieria means that everything is to be decided in the last round of the matches.
Watched USA vs Slovenia today. I expeced a good match and I wasn't dissapointed. Slovenia was great at the first half, USA completely hopeless and uneffective. In the second half it looked completely different. The USA coach Bob Bradley reacted quickly and changed the strategy. USA started attacking and kept doing this till the final whistle. They catched up and get the draw, although it should be 3-2. The decision of the referee was strange.
Goalkeepers stats accroding to ESPN. Samir Handanović made 4 saves. Those in the first half were brilliant. He showed a lot of self-confidence. However, in the second half something went wrong. For sure he could act better when Donovan scored the first goal for USA. Howard made 2 saves. He could do nothing when the shot from the distance was scored Birsa and little when Ljubijankic scored the second. Defenders mistake here. The rest of the match was fine for him. Seems he is fit, no sign that he suffers from any injury after the clash with Heskey.
Keep my fingers crossed for the USA in the match with Algieria. Would like Slovenia to success too. Is it possible? Everything can happen now.
Semir Handanović
That save was really amazing!
Not the best attempt of save.
Bradley scores
It could be the third goal for USA but the referee disallowed it.
Tim Howard
The goals scored by Slovenia in the first half were kind of a shock for USA...
Howard celebrates Bradley's goal.
