World Cup: US vs Algeria 23 June 2010

US team seems to like dramatic twists. I've gave up all hope when finally Donovan scored that precious goal in the additional time! Amazing. This team never give up, no matter how hopeless the situation looks. Algeria had some moments when they were close to score in the first half. But the bar saved US. US players also hit the bar and the post, missing by inches.

Now US is going to face Ghana in 1/8 finals.

Rais M'Bohli, Algeria's goalkeeper is the man, who put the most effort to stop US. He was brilliant through the whole game and made 9 saves. Some of them were amazing.

Tim Howard made 4 saves. Not as much as in the first group match with England, but what counts the most is that he kept the clean sheet. One was crucial, in the last minutes in the game. I also liked the one save of shot from the distance. Howard was on the right place.
